Buddha's Parinirvana Ceremony

The principal events in the life of Shakyamuni Buddha are celebrated in Zen centers throughout the world: his birth (May - varies), enlightenment (rohatsu - Dec 12th), and death (parinirvana - Feb 8th or 15th).
On this evening of Winter Practice Period we'll sit two periods of zazen and then celebrate the Buddha's passing with a beautiful ceremony.
